Job description: Position Summary… We are looking for a skilled Flame compositor with beauty and graphic compositing experience. You should be equally comfortable compositing shots as you are juggling timelines and versioning/ QCing masters for final delivery. You have a strong technical understanding of the entire post workflow and have experience at a VFX/Color/Finishing studio. You understand how different teams work together in a commercial environment at an advertising pace. You love hosting a room full of clients and making them feel at ease while you may be juggling multiple things under a tight delivery timeline. Bonus if you have a passion for design aesthetics and a keen eye for small, yet important, graphics details. You are entrepreneurial, resilient, and able to pivot to problem solve. You are excited by the potential to leverage the scale of Walmart to make an impact within the production community; and your ability in this role to inform and drive this impact.What you’ll do…
- Conform and deliver high-end television commercial spots for broadcast, web, and social media.
- Composite motion and static graphics, beauty and general set cleanup.
- Work closely with Motion Graphics Manager and Editorial Manager to ensure smooth movement of assets that allow for quick turn around on commercial finishing work.
- Manage offshore partners to ensure smooth working experience and high quality when outsourcing tasks such as rotoscoping, and paint/prep.
- Establish guidelines and SOP’s for work finished outside of Jandy Studio to ensure necessary elements are received for future adaptations.
- Act as team player — help ensure smooth operations, a friendly and calm workspace for our teams to be inspired; and a studio experience that leaves our clients and partners wanting more.
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Flame for compositing and timeline management purposes.
- Strong knowledge of Davinci Resolve and industry standard color workflows and specs.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere and industry standard editorial workflows and specs.
- Basic knowledge of audio mixing workflows and specs.
- Strong technical knowledge of standard video specifications including compression types, resolutions, aspect ratios, and file formats.
- Comfortable with on-set data capture methods.
- Creative and solution oriented to identify the end goal and propose a solution to achieve that goal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity or experience working closely with motion design and editorial teams.
- Strong understanding of design concepts and typography.
- Comfortable with advanced Flame workflows such as 3D tracking and CG compositing.
- Experience in the Marketing, Retail or eCommerce industry.
Above and Beyond Qualifications
- Knowledge in Nuke compositing as well.
- Experience in Realtime tools/workflows such as Unreal and compositing workflows with real-time renders.
- Passion and experience integrating AI based tools for expediting compositing-based tasks.
