Description of Post

Sheffield Hallam University: 1 Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Quantity Surveying (Specialising in Measurement)

The post relates primarily to the teaching of Food product development and Human Nutrition. Applicants must demonstrate expertise in both Food product development areas and Nutrition.

The School of Science has a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across a number of disciplines including Human Nutrition, Health Science and Physiology, Public Health, Occupational Safety and Health, Sports and Exercise Nutrition, and Health Promotion and Public Health.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake lecturing and associated duties on a range of courses within the School with a special emphasis on Human Nutrition, Nutrition Product Development, Food Marketing and Food Legislation and Quality, on various programmes.

The successful candidate will also be required to supervise postgraduate research and engage in the development of new courses.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must, as a minimum, hold an MSc and an Honours Bachelor Degree at 2.2 or better in Human Nutrition, Food Science, Food and Nutrition or equivalent.

Applicants must have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in food/nutrition product development.
