About the Role

We’re now seeking a Systems Support Officer to play a key role in the technical support and ongoing rollout of the University’s new Loan and Sale system in Falmouth University. Part of the Digital Experience department and working closely with our Technical Facilities, you’ll be an integral part of a passionate project team delivering and supporting this project. As well as providing a first line of support for bookings in the system, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of data and schedules, including managing requests for changes.

This is a pivotal role in supporting the centralised management of the system and related processes. You will work proactively with store managers, technicians, academics and senior colleagues on both campuses, acting as a system champion. You will also be supporting students with their use of the system.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver, with excellent organisational and relationship building skills who enjoys working with people as well as with systems.

We are looking to hear from candidates who also have the following skills/experience:

  • Outstanding communication and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of, and interest in, the use of business systems and IT.
  • Previous experience of providing helpdesk and/or user support for business systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and processes.
  • Ability to work independently and to manage your own workload, as well as working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Positive and proactive approach to customer service.

Falmouth University Full system training will be provided.

This position is offered on a fixed term, full-time basis working 35 hours a week across Monday – Friday.
