Job description: **** This position is located in IRAQ – Travel & Housing will be provided ****Position Overview:The Supervisor – Desktop – Electronic Security Systems (ESS) is responsible for leading and overseeing the desktop support team dedicated to Electronic Security Systems (ESS). This includes managing the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, network devices, and software directly supporting ESS operations, ensuring optimal functionality and user support.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of desktop support technicians focused on ESS, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, workstations, servers, and network components integral to ESS.
  • Develop and implement procedures for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware and software issues related to ESS applications and infrastructure.
  • Ensure timely and effective technical support to ESS operators and other personnel, addressing incidents and service requests.
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive inventory records of ESS-related desktop equipment, software licenses, and peripherals.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for desktop systems and associated ESS software.
  • Ensure all desktop support activities, system configurations, and user support interactions are accurately and thoroughly documented.
  • Collaborate with the ESS Manager and other technical teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of desktop systems with broader ESS infrastructure.
  • Lead efforts for system upgrades, patches, and security configurations on ESS-related desktop environments.
  • Stay current with advancements in desktop technologies, operating systems, and ESS software, implementing best practices for support and management.

Required Qualifications:All candidates must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Be able to pass the medical and physical requirements outlined in the contract.
  • Meet all standards as required by the contract.
  • Have a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in information technology, or similar military certification. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional, ITIL) are highly desirable.
  • Must possess a minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in IT desktop support, network administration, or systems administration, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in an environment supporting electronic security systems.
  • Proven expertise in leading teams and managing desktop environments, including Windows and Linux operating systems, network connectivity, and common business applications.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and cybersecurity best practices for end-user devices.
  • Experience with troubleshooting complex software and hardware issues, remote support tools, and ticketing systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic security systems (ESS) components and how desktop systems interface with them (e.g., client software for CCTV, access control).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and system diagrams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT service management principles and regulatory compliance in a secure operational environment.

Furnished housing will be provided. Travel to and from the Work Location will be provided. Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.Physical Demands:The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, are that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
