Job description: We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading steel manufacturer in Huntington, WV that is expanding its finance team. This Staff Accountant role offers the chance to support both day-to-day accounting operations and month-end financial reporting in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.What You’ll DoManage fixed assets, cash tracking, payroll preparation, and customer credit policiesPost journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end closePerform cost and variance analysis, including inventory and operations reviewPrepare sales, financial, and operational reports using ERP and internal systemsEnsure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and federal/state regulationsPartner with cross-functional teams to analyze results vs. budget and support decision-makingAssist with special projects and process improvements as assignedWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)Hands-on experience in public accounting or corporate finance (minimum two years)Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP or accounting softwareStrong attention to detail with proven accuracy in reporting and documentationAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across teamsExcellent communication skills, with confidence in working with all levels of managementThis is a great opportunity to build your career in a stable, well-established organization while contributing to meaningful financial operations.

Expected salary: $50000 – 55000 per year
