The Ria program is delivered through telehealth and by a care team of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Coaches with clinical expertise to manage care and outcomes for Ria Health members.WORK AT RIA HEALTH AS A STAFF ACCOUNTANTOur healthcare technology company is seeking a Staff Accountant. This individual will play a critical role in supporting our CFO and ensuring the smooth execution of financial operations across departments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a background in accounting or finance, and a passion for contributing to a mission-driven organization focused on transforming the way alcohol use disorder is treated through telehealth.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinancePrepare monthly flash report for review with CFOWork with accounting to update them on any new hires/consultants and what general ledger classification they should beProvide accounting with monthly reports so they may complete the monthly financial close (e.g. revenue reconciliation, AR activity, AR aging, bank statements)TreasurySweep cash from PC to Tech accountEnsure recurring transfers from investment account to operating account cover upcoming expenses (e.g. payroll)Monitor interest income in investment accountSupport CFO in identifying investing strategiesAccounts PayablePerform a quarterly review of expenses paid through Ramp and Bill.com to ensure vendors are actively in use and payment limits are accurateManage invoicing to ensure all invoices are properly sent to accounting and logged in Bill.com on a monthly basisApprove monthly and quarterly enrollment incentivesApprove monthly coaching incentivesAccounts ReceivableConduct billing-related analysis to ensure the accuracy of billing processesWork with accounting to monitor the uncollectable allowance and make recommendations to the CFO for any changesInventoryWork with accounting to ensure proper recording of inventory assetsWork with Clinical Operations to forecast inventory needsWork with vendors to ensure a cost efficient supply of breathalyzers and welcome packetsManagement FeeAnnual evaluation of the management fee between companies and forecasting according to the next year’s budgetCoordinate the annual amendment of the MSO fee with legalGrantsSet up grant subcontractors and contractors to be paid and ensure proper classification on the general ledgerCoordinate with research assistant and accountant to draw down or send out the invoice for grant funding in accordance with policiesAudit & TaxManage the collection of audit requests from Auditors and participate in audit meetingsProvide information to support data requests from Auditors for Ria financial audit, Ria Tax and for Ria’s investor’s financial auditSales & Use TaxManage the project with outside tax consultants to evaluate Ria’s sales & use tax obligationsWork cross functionally to set up a process for sales & use tax collection and payments to states, as applicableCorporate RegistrationReview the tracking of corporate registrations by company in each stateManage accounting’s work on corporate registrationsCap TableEnsure the cap table is current in CartaManage 409a valuations and approvalsProvide cap table reporting to investorsBoard MeetingsAssist the CFO in board meeting preparation by maintaining the financial reporting templates and creating board slidesFinancial Operations ManagementAssist the CFO by coordinating meetings with psychosocial and clinic leaders, human resources and finance to evaluate monthly reviews of staffing actuals vs budgeted to identify trends in hiring needs and to identify areas to improve the staffing model.Payor and Contract ManagementMaintain a summary of payor contracts, ensuring operationalization of new coverage terms and fee changes across business units.Real Estate and InsuranceTrack real estate leases and maintain accurate recordsManage the annual insurance renewal process, including updating application forms and ensuring the proper limits are obtained at a reasonable price (e.g. Malpractice, General Liability, Cyber, D&O, facility lease insurance)Additional SupportPerform other duties as required to support the organization’s goals and objectives.Acknowledgment that work may involve working with Protected Healthcare Information and agree to abide by all company policies and procedures for keeping that information secure and private.Agree to work within the policies and procedures of Ria Health, including the Information Security, Acceptable Use, Remote Work/Teleworking, and the Monitoring and Recording policies.
