Job description: Position Title: Staff AccountantSalary: Based on ExperienceAccelerate Professional Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant on a six-month contract basis to join the accounting team with a Milwaukee manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity to gain more accounting experience in the manufacturing industry with a collaborative, team environment.Staff Accountant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Assist in monthly close processes and financial reporting in alignment with GAAP standards.
– Reconcile balance sheet accounts and help resolve discrepancies.
– Partner with Shared Services teams on A/R, A/P, and Payroll activities.
– Prepare and distribute financial reports to support business decisions.
– Collaborate with Operations and Purchasing to assist with inventory tracking and reconciliation.
– Maintain general ledger accuracy, including journal entry preparation and processing.
– Participate in audit support, compliance activities, and documentation processes.
– Contribute to tax research and the preparation of required filings.
– Support finance leadership with special projects and ad hoc tasks.Staff Accountant Requirements:
– Associate degree, or higher, in Accounting or related field.
– 1+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience a plus).
– Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
– Effective communication and collaboration skills.
– High integrity, discretion with confidential information, and professional demeanor.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
– Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a team environment.Why This Role?
