Job description: Staff Accountant (AP/NetSuite Focus)
North Dallas, 4 days a week onsiteCompensation: $70k-$80k (depending on experience)Position Overview:
One of Vaco’s clients is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to support their accounting operations with a focus on AP/AR. The ideal candidate will have NetSuite and multi-entity accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable workflows, including invoice processing, vendor communications, and payment execution.
- Assist with accounts receivable duties such as invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
- Utilize ERP systems (primarily NetSuite) to manage and record financial transactions.
- Support the month-end close process and contribute to financial reporting efforts.
- Maintain vendor files, reconcile statements, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Coordinate check runs, ACH payments, and other disbursement methods.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide documentation for audits.
- Participate in identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Support financial operations across multiple subsidiaries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of accounting experience with a strong emphasis on accounts payable.
- Proficiency with NetSuite (required); experience with MS Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
