Job description: Job Description:We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and posting of journal entries to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for bank statements and financial accounts.
- Contribute to the creation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Maintain records of fixed assets and oversee depreciation schedules.
- Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company accounting policies.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, document organization, and filing.
- Deliver courteous and efficient customer service by addressing inquiries promptly.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting preferred, with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
- Familiarity with Business Central is advantageous.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently as needed.
Expected salary: $65000 per year
