Are you ready to take the ride?What We NeedThe Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This position is responsible for assigned month-end close activities, preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, daily cash reconciliation, monthly bank reconciliations, and assisting with sales tax filings for multiple states. The position assists in all aspects of general accounting, accounts receivable, payment processing, reconciliation, business relationships, record keeping, auditing, and data analysis.What You’ll Do
- Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations for multiple bank accounts and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations between multiple entities.
- Assist with audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide accounting support as needed.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and daily cash reconciliations.
- Sales tax experience across multiple states required, Avalara experience preferred.
- Experience with intercompany transactions and foreign currency accounting are preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, experience with ERP systems, preferably Net Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well both with groups and independently.
