Job description: OneRail is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Vice President/Controller, the ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements, extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, proficiency with NetSuite, a good understanding of US GAAP, and be a CPA or CPA candidate. Reconcile various accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Analyze and report on monthly balance sheet and P&L activity.
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to perform financial analysis and reporting.
Maintain and update records in NetSuite.
Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications Candidates must posses the following skills and qualifications to be considered a candidate for the Staff Accounting role:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1 to 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on account reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
Proficiency with NetSuite is required.
A solid understanding of US GAAP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability and willingness to work primarily onsite at OneRail HQ in Orlando, FL (ZIP 32819)
CPA certification or current CPA candidate is strongly preferred. Candidates currently in possession of a CPA certification or who are current CPA candidates will be given priority in the selection process.
