Our programs support multiple Federal agencies, the Department of Defense and often focused on the space initiatives of our government customers.We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of the I2X Finance & Accounting department and reporting to the Accounting & Contracts Manager.Duties:
- Tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues in both AP and AR
- Conduct account research and analysis
- Prepare and maintain various reports
- Assist in month end closing including reconciliations
- Review, adjust and post PTO Accruals
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Coordinate with team on interaction with customers to resolve outstanding issues
- Payroll processing
- Review, adjust and approve Timecard entries
- Process expense reports and/or Charge Card Transactions
- Other duties as assigned Qualifications:
Skills/qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Government Contract Accounting experience a plus
- Ability to work and interface well with various organizations and personnel at all levels
- Detail oriented and methodical work ethics and ability to work independently
- Jamis or other Government accounting software experience a plus
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of accounting experience
