Job description: We are seeking a driven Staff Accountant to support our growing team. - Compile and record journal entries accurately, following accounting standards and internal guidelines.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain precise financial records.
- Assist with the month-end close process by preparing schedules and aiding in financial reporting.
- Support audit requests by providing documentation and other assistance as needed.
- Set up new projects, AFEs, and vendors per company procedures.
- Help prepare financial statements and reports as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role; oil and gas industry experience is a plus but not required.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data entry and analysis.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with vendors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
