Job description: Staff Accountant – Confidential Manufacturing Company
On-Site | DFW Area (76112) | Full-Time | $60K–$70K
A confidential manufacturing company in the Dallas-Fort Worth (76112) area is seeking a Staff Accountant to support its growing finance team. This full-time, salaried role reports to the Controller and is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
This position is 100% on-site — no remote or hybrid options.Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions
- Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly
- Monitor and analyze cost accounting data to ensure proper expense and production allocations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Process weekly accounts payable and manage payment schedules
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and schedules
- Provide backup support to other accounting team members as needed
Schedule:
- Regular Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM (45-minute lunch)
- Summer Hours (May 22 – Labor Day):
- Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:45 PM (45-minute lunch)
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)
- 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Familiarity with ERP systems preferred
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work cross-functionally
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
