We are seeking an enthusiastic hourly paid Sewing and textiles tutor to join our Community Learning Team.

Solihull College: Applicants will be required to teach on the Sewing and Textiles programme which will be advertised in our 21/22 prospectus and will start in September, the class will be initially on Wednesdays between 7pm and 9pm at our Woodlands Campus. There will be the chance to design and develop a creative 10 week programme in the first instance which will engage and retain our learners, some of whom won’t have been in education for a while.

Solihull College: Whilst experience of teaching sewing is desirable, consideration would be given to a gifted enthusiast with the relevant skills. You will have excellent communication and positive ‘can do’ attitude and have the ability to work as part of a team and independently.

You will be an excellent administrator – well organised and able to meet deadlines. You will also have excellent communication skills as it is important to have regular contact and half-termly meetings with the rest of the Community Learning Team.
