Location: Houston, Texas- RemoteJob Summary:
Client is looking for a highly skilled SharePoint Online SPFx Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining custom solutions, web parts, and extensions for SharePoint using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and related technologies. You will ensure solutions meet business needs while integrating seamlessly with other Microsoft products.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop custom web parts, extensions, and components using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), focusing on client-side development.
  • Leverage modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript) to create scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions.
  • Integrate SharePoint solutions with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft 365 services to provide seamless user experiences.
  • Requirements Gathering and Solution Design:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, translating them into functional and technical solutions.
  • Design and implement custom SharePoint solutions, including site layouts, workflows, and custom functionalities tailored to business needs.
  • Code Development and Maintenance:
  • Write, test, and debug code for SharePoint solutions, ensuring high quality, performance, and security.
  • Maintain and enhance existing SharePoint solutions by addressing issues, updating features, and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Integration and API Development:
  • Develop and integrate solutions with other business applications and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Program against Microsoft Graph and other APIs to access and manipulate SharePoint data and facilitate integration.
  • Create clear, concise documentation for custom-developed SharePoint solutions.
  • Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for SharePoint-related challenges.
  • Manage SharePoint site collections and subsites to ensure proper organization and performance.
  • Implement, configure, and customize SharePoint features and functionalities.
  • Automate business processes using SharePoint workflows and Power Automate.
  • Maintain SharePoint security policies and ensure adherence to data governance protocols.
  • Ensure data integrity through regular backups and manage disaster recovery protocols.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SharePoint SPFx Developer, specifically with SharePoint Online and Office 365.
  • At least 5 years of experience with SharePoint on-premises features and farm solutions development.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Online SPFx development and a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture and the object model.
  • Familiarity with PowerApps, Power Automate, and other Office 365 tools.
  • Strong programming skills in C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
  • Experience with development tools like Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
  • Strong coding practices with good naming conventions, inline comments, and consistent coding style.
  • Ensure robust error handling and reusable functions to avoid code duplication.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online security best practices, including permissions management, data governance, and compliance.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, fostering strong relationships across departments and stakeholders
  • Experience working on SharePoint Online projects, including the full development lifecycle, customization, and integration efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with custom development for SharePoint on-premises.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and OneDrive for Business integration with SharePoint Online.
  • Experience using PowerShell for SharePoint administration tasks.
  • Familiarity with third-party SharePoint tools and add-ins, especially Nintex Automation.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices.

Certifications: Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint Online and Office 365 are highly preferred.
