As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will:
- Prepare & review journal entries, account reconciliations, & month-end close procedures.
- Maintain & ensure accuracy of the general ledger & subsidiary ledgers.
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies & provide detailed explanations of variances.
- Assist with budget preparation & forecasting.
- Prepare & support external audit requirements & liaise with auditors.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP & applicable regulations.
- Develop & document business processes & accounting policies to maintain & strengthen internal controls.
- Participate in system upgrades or implementations as needed.
- Prepare reports for management, i.e. balance sheets, profit & loss statements, & other financial analysis.
To qualify for a Senior Staff Accountant position with us:
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting and fixed asset software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Asset Accountant).
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective interpersonal & communication skills
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities required:
- Experience in Healthcare industry a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and process automation tools.
- Analytical thinker with a solution-oriented approach.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in Power BI is preferred.
- Data Analytics driven.
- Results oriented.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Proven ability to mentor & train team members.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
