Following evidence-based guidelines and clinical best practices, our solution is scalable for health plans, providers, health systems, and life sciences.Role Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Sr. Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This individual will be a key member of the accounting/finance team to support our increased needs as our company grows. Attention to detail and ability to maintain account balances, financial statements, general ledger, and reporting are all important skills this position needs. The candidate should be comfortable working collaboratively with teams and independently and excel when faced with new challenges and problems to solve.Primary Responsibilities:
- Month-End Close: Perform full-cycle general ledger accounting, including preparing schedules and journal entries, and performing various account reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements and investor reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Accounts Receivable & Billing: Manage customer invoicing, track payments, and ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Payroll & Vendor Payments: Process W2 payroll for employees and 1099 payments for contractors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Internal Controls: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Audit: Provide detailed support and timely communications to assist with external audit process.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements, including IRS filings (e.g., 1099s, W2s) and healthcare-related financial regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial workflows, automation, and efficiency in financial operations.
Requirements and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Certifications: CPA is a plus but not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare organization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with QuickBooks is required; experience in NetSuite a plus, payroll platforms (e.g., Paycom), and financial reporting tools such as Excel.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with healthcare accounting, understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and transactional accounting (AR/AP), Prior experience with audit prep or compiling PBC schedules preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ensuring accuracy in financial data and compliance with regulations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Initiative & Adaptability: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
