Leveraging advanced AI technology, they deliver real-time writing feedback across multiple platforms, including web browsers, desktop applications, and mobile devices.They are seeking a Senior .NET Desktop Developer to join their dynamic engineering team as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for desktop applications. In this critical role, you will provide technical leadership and expertise in building and enhancing our desktop applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, usability, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in C#, .NET, and WPF, with a proven track record of developing high-performance desktop applications. Experience in AI technologies and leading or mentoring development teams is highly desirable. What You Will Be Doing
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all desktop application development initiatives, providing technical direction and best practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust desktop applications using C#, .NET, and WPF.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that enhance the user experience.
- Optimize application performance, ensuring scalability and responsiveness for a growing user base.
- Establish and promote best practices in software engineering, focusing on code quality, testing, and maintainability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, with opportunities to lead project teams.
- Integrate AI-powered features into desktop applications, working closely with AI and NLP experts.
- Lead architecture discussions, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience as a .NET Desktop Developer with a focus on C#, .NET, and WPF.
- Expertise in desktop application architecture, performance optimization, and UI/UX best practices.
- Strong understanding of multithreading, asynchronous programming, and scalable application design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a passion for driving technical excellence.
Nice To Have
- Experience leading development teams or serving as a technical lead.
- Exposure to AI technologies and a passion for integrating AI solutions into applications.
- Familiarity with cloud services, especially AWS or Azure.
Office Location
- Seattle, WA
- 100% Remote – Candidate MUST reside in Washington
- Quarterly office visits required
The Offer
- 1 year W2 Contract-to-Hire
- $100-130/hr
