Mayo Clinic Laboratories is respected and recognized as a world leader in diagnostic testing. MCL’s 2030 strategy sets the vision of transforming diagnostic testing as a global leader in advanced diagnostics. Advanced use of data, ML/AI and traditional analytics is woven through all aspects of this strategy and considered foundational to achieving it. MCL’s data and analytics group is responsible for driving MCL’s Data, Data Management and Data consumption vision. This group will strive to enable a data centric organization, provide supporting capabilities to meet the needs of all organizational stakeholders, and establish an environment of continuous improvement with high levels of proficiency and analytics driving business and strategy decisions. Mayo Clinic is seeking a Sr. Director of Data Governance to lead this group. This leader will be responsible for leading and mentoring teams implementing cutting edge analytics systems, tools and services that operate at unprecedented scale for data from various sources including on-prem and within Google cloud.
Be an active member of the leadership team to drive transformation and deliver on the Mayo Clinic Laboratories Data & Analytics 2030 strategy for growth. Be responsible for leading agile product teams who are building innovative, world-class market, product and operations analytics tools and reporting for both internal and MCL customer and partner use. Build Analytics tools for data analytics at MCL working with internal and external technology partners, including Google, MCL’s strategic partner for cloud hosting and advanced data management, and Microsoft, a partner for analytics tools. Have a clear pulse on innovations across the broader analytics community, helping to identify new opportunities in emerging technology. Drive product development with multiple teams of world-class engineers, designers, product specialists. Develop a team capable of partnering with leadership to analyze key performance indicators that measure the success of products. Support the needs of marketing, sales, product development and operations, evangelizing how analytical insight can be leveraged to improve cures and remove friction in administration journeys. Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders. Work cross-functionally with technical, design, business, IT and compliance counterparts to ensure the smooth development and delivery Data Analytics products.
*This position is primarily remote work. Individual may live anywhere in the US. Travel is required up to 25%.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in business or related discipline. Ten years of responsibility in planning and analysis. Five years of direct management experience. Master’s Degree preferred. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred. Experience integrating disparate teams into a single, high performing unit is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively deliver presentations as well as communicate clearly and succinctly in writing are necessary. It is also necessary to possess excellent management skills to effectively manage a staff and organization within a budget. FACHE certification preferred.

Compensation Detail
$163,966.40 – $237,764.80 / year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
