Job description: Description:We’re looking for a sharp and motivated Senior Accounting Advisor (Senior Accountant) with at least 3 years of experience in public accounting or a CPA firm to take the lead on complex client business accounting needs. You’ll bring your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership to the table-helping businesses thrive while mentoring junior team members. - Reconcile general ledgers, post journal entries, and produce error-free financial statements that are in line with GAAP.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile client transactions which may include such items as daily sales, petty cash, banking/credit card statements, accounts payable and month-end closing entries of more complex client deliverables.
- Demonstrate excellent accounting and technical knowledge to be able to recognize inconsistencies and correct any errors found within financial statements.
- Manage and lead medium to high-complexity clean-ups by taking disorganized or incomplete client bookkeeping and preparing accurate financial statements, insights, and tax-ready records.
- Review and analysis of client financials to ensure accuracy and provide insight to the client.
- Support clients and team members with stellar relationships and communication skills; participate and lead client meetings.
- Mentor and support junior staff by providing training, guidance, and ongoing feedback to help develop their technical skills and professional growth.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including Excel
- Strong computer and software implementation skills and familiarity with Wolters Kluwer’s CCH Access platform a plus
- Experience with QuickBooks desktop and online preferred
- Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to lead, delegate as appropriate, and work as a team

- Ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
