- Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour (pay rate set by current contract; subject to future increases)

CURRENT OPENING:
- Full-Time (40+ hours / week)
- 1st Shift: 7AM – 3PM / Monday – Friday
- On Call 24/7 – Respond to Officer’s calling for guidance or call-offs
Flexibility to schedule yourself 2nd Shift for larger events.LOCATION: DeVos Place – Grand Rapids, MIPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Security Site Supervisor for DK Security your duties include supervision and leadership of approximately 12-15 assigned Uniform Security Officers.We provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is a working-Supervisor type role where your shifts would be performing the duties of an Officer in addition to your supervisory responsibilities.Some of the responsibilities would include:
- Training – Train and coach officers in the duties required at this site.
- Scheduling – Schedule Officers for 24/7 coverage of the site and ensure all shifts are properly filled.
- Coverage – Communicate with team and on-call officers to fill any call-offs. The supervisor would go in if no other coverage found.
- Foot Patrol – Monitor and patrol the interior of the building. Keep an eye out for security, safety, and maintenance issues.
- Camera Monitoring – Monitor CCTV for safety and security concerns.
SUCCESS as a Security Site Supervisor at DK Security will look like:
- Reliability – Report for your shift on time, ensure full coverage of staff, submit documentation in a timely manner.
- Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and coaching/disciplining your Officers.
- Following Company and Client Policies – Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
- Use of De-escalation Techniques – Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
- Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
- Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No other major violations in the last 3 years.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.

- Basic Officer Training – Video and Hands-on training regarding skills and techniques important for all Security Officers.
- Meet with our HR Team – Complete your onboarding process, in-house drug testing, issuing of uniforms, and photo ID badge, meet with your Operations Manager.
- On the Job Training (OJT) – Depending on the site location, you will complete anywhere from 2-40+ hours of On-The-Job training, learning the client-specific policies and procedures of the location you are assigned to.
