This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you’ve received a fraudulent text?

Sandblasting Technician Details:
- Temporary position
- $17.00 /hour
- Full Time work available
- First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 04:30pm)
- Perform sandblasting on various materials, including metal, concrete, and other surfaces.
- Operate and maintain sandblasting equipment.
- Prepare surfaces by masking and cleaning as needed.
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and wear proper PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Sandblasting Technician Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous sandblasting or industrial painting experience preferred.
- Ability to operate blasting equipment and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and wear a respirator.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
