Job description: **We are seeking individuals who have work experience working with adults with chronic mental illness**General Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Resident Services Senior Group Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a group home serving individuals with chronic mental illness. This role will be responsible for ensuring a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment that promotes the well-being and independence of residents. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of mental health conditions, and experience in managing a team of direct care staff.Supervisory responsibilities:
- Partners with Talent Acquisition team to recruit, interview, hire, and train direct reports.
- Oversees the daily workflow of their department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of programming in the core service areas and progress toward program outcomes at all assigned group home sites.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and personal growth.
- Use program data and regular reporting as a tool for staff and program supervision and quality improvement.
- Participate in community groups working to improve services for residents and develop new resources that address unmet needs.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care, staff training, and home operations in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure the home operates within budget and financial guidelines, including managing expenses and tracking expenditures and reporting any variances.
- Responsible for ensuring a clean and safe work environment by regular safety reviews, employee training and follow through. This includes minimizing the number of work-related accidents within the department.
- Completes all required statistical records and reports in a timely manner.
- Designs and implements evaluation tools to assess quality of services and resident satisfaction with programming.
- Responsible for attending staff meetings, training courses, and conferences as required.
- Responsible for the accuracy, value, management, and reporting of program data from multiple systems and data sources in support of operational decision-making, ongoing compliance, planning activities, reporting requirements, proposals, communicating Goodwill’s impact.
- Ensures the quality, integrity, and security of all agency program data through process, governance, training, and audits.
- Ensures record confidentiality and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Recommend standard data definitions, ensures standards are utilized in all reporting, and partners with leadership on the most appropriate ways to capture and communicate Goodwill’s mission effectiveness and community impact.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, agency policies, and accreditation standards. Responsible for meeting contracted goals, mandated standards, and regulatory requirements established for Goodwill’s Residential Programs.
- Stay informed of state and county training requirements and monitor team’s compliance.
- Monitor critical incident/medication errors in Group Homes, with the responsibility to minimize errors through appropriate training and follow up with responsible staff.

- No record of convictions for offenses substantially related to job duties.
Travel Required: Ability to travel up to 10%Required education and/or work experience:
- Bachelor degree in social work, psychology or related field (Master’s prefered)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with chronic mental illness in a residential or community setting.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and behavioral management strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
