Bangor University Applications are invited for the above fixed-term full-time post working on the EFINET project – ‘Towards a Harmonized European Forest Monitoring’ in the School of Natural Sciences of Bangor University.

 

Bangor University, Duties will include compiling reports on required outputs from a European forest monitoring system in selected prototype areas across Europe. The candidate will process remote sensing data and carry out demonstrations of the envisaged system. The work will be carried out through the organization of consultation workshops with key stakeholders and scientist with interest in the development of a European forest information system.

Candidates should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area and possess excellent English writing skills. Experience with forest and/or remote sensing data would be an asset.

Bangor University The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible. The post is available until 31 July 2022, and there may be an option to continue on to study for a PhD afterwards.
