We are seeking a Principal Lecturer to lead our highly reputable undergraduate course in BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion, so looking for experience in some or all of the areas of Fashion Communication Methodologies and Practice, Fashion Promotion, Creative Concept Development, Visual Literacy and Semiotics and Fashion / Image Curation.
Within this role you will be responsible for the academic management and curricula development and will be required to teach and supervise predominantly on this course, although you may also contribute to our postgraduate and exciting future portfolio of courses within the Department of Fashion Management, Marketing and Communication. You will be required to lead the continual development of the course/s and serve on Schoolwide committees as assigned by the Head of Department. You will provide academic leadership, course management, strategic and operational management within the subject area and seek commercial opportunities. You will also demonstrate a proven record of research outcomes and scholarly or practice activity.
As a strong communicator committed to leading a team to deliver high quality education within the subject area, you will have an in depth understanding of global fashion industry principles and practice.
Candidates must be educated to a minimum of an undergraduate degree level in Fashion Management, Marketing and Communication, a postgraduate qualification is desirable or evidence that you are prepared to continue your own education through research and continued professional development. A qualification in the HE sector is also desirable.
