We are currently searching for a Preschool Director for one of our premier clients, Children of America (COA), located in Waldorf, MD. Their culture invites you to bring your whole self to work, because it is your unique attributes, perspectives and backgrounds that make a stronger team.The Preschool Director leads the operations of a pre-school for age groups ranging from infant, toddler, pre-k to elementary for childcare, before and aftercare, as well as summer camp. You will manage and oversee all school employees including educators, administrators, and support staff, ensuring the highest quality early childhood education.Responsibilities

• Understand, comply and work to exceed all regulations as directed by the state.
• Optimize student enrollments by delivering quality education, care, and customer service to parents and children.
• Lead a talented team and oversee the operations of the facility by using established processes, policies, and procedures that have been proven successful and which meet state childcare licensing standards.
• Supervise programs that follow the school’s philosophy, and educational goals.
• Continually increase productivity and profitability goals while remaining within budget and meeting performance standards.
• Develop and build relationships with parents and others in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree. Preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline.
• MSDE Certification: 45 hours.
• A minimum of 3 years of management and leadership experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a child care facility or equivalent.
• An inspirational personality that attracts talented individuals to join the team and follow the vision and mission of the organization.
• Ability to make decisive decisions and exhibit sound judgment.
• Advanced knowledge and technical skills in early childhood education.
• Passionate about learning and developing yourself and others.
• Computer proficient including Office 365 and school software applications.
• Flexible in challenging situations.
• Must meet state minimum requirements/qualifications for the role.
