Join Our Team as a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer! Hybrid 1-2 days a week onsite then Remote
Are you passionate about PCB design and eager to contribute to cutting-edge projects? We are looking for a talented Printed Circuit Board Designer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the chance to work on large, complex, multi-layer PCBs while collaborating closely with mechanical, electronic, and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Innovation: Be a part of a small, dedicated team delivering approximately 30 PCB designs per year.
- End-to-End Design Process: Take PCB designs from initial concepts through to manufacturing data packs, ensuring adherence to Design for Manufacture and Test standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electronic, and manufacturing teams to meet the project’s structural, thermal, and functional requirements.
- Schematic Management: Interpret and manage schematic diagrams while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Legacy Maintenance: Perform modifications and maintenance of existing designs to keep them up-to-date with current standards.
- Toolset Management: Assist in maintaining toolsets, libraries, and databases to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Core Duties Include:
- Applying technical knowledge and engineering skills to generate intricate PCB designs.
- Ensuring designs are optimized for high-speed digital, RF, mixed-signal, and large FPGA technologies.
- Managing component libraries and contributing to peer reviews.
- Supporting the generation of comprehensive manufacturing data packs.
Your Skills & Expertise:
- Proven Expertise: Experience designing multi-layer, multi-substrate PCBs (up to 24 layers, 2000+ components) and using advanced techniques like blind and buried vias.
- Design Knowledge: Familiarity with designing for high-speed digital, RF, and mixed-signal environments, including impedance control and high current applications.
- Industry Standards: Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC-610 standards is essential.
- Collaborative Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly across teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- HND or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Required).
