Job description: Onsite Desktop TechnicianJob Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site technical support for desktop computers, peripherals, and software applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalate problems when necessary, and ensure timely resolution.
- Set up and configure new desktops/laptops and deploy software updates as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, virus protection, and data backups.
- Assist users with technical support, training, and guidance on IT-related matters.
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets and ensure proper documentation.
- Collaborate with IT team members to optimize IT infrastructure and enhance system performance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a desktop support technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Desired Experience:
- Certifications in IT support or related field (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician).
- Experience with Active Directory, email systems, and remote desktop support tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
- Knowledge of IT security protocols and data protection measures.
