Job description: 27J Online Academy, a 27J School located in Brighton, Colorado, is seeking an Instructional Assistant Principal who is passionate about relationship-driven, student-centered learning in an online environment. This leader will work closely with teachers and staff to elevate instructional practice, foster professional collaboration, and ensure that our virtual classrooms are spaces where students think deeply and engage fully.27J Online Academy – About our School27J OLA is an innovative online middle and high school that combines the flexibility of virtual learning with the power of strong, human connection. Our approach is grounded in meeting students where they are and helping them thrive.This is an in-person position, where you will be working at our learning campus in Brighton, CO. 27J School District operates on a 4-day work week, Tuesday – Friday.Our ideal teammate is someone who:

Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Leadership
- Facilitate regular collaboration time and virtual PLCs focused on instructional strategies, student engagement, and active learning practices.
- Design and lead professional development that is responsive, relevant, and aligned with our instructional mission of student ownership of learning.
- Observe virtual classrooms, provide coaching and feedback, and promote a culture of reflection and continuous improvement.
- Culture and Climate
- Build strong, authentic relationships with students, staff, and families in a virtual setting.
- Promote a school-wide culture of trust, inclusivity, and high expectations.
- Model and support practices that foster belonging and student connection in an online environment.
- Operational and Administrative Support
- Support daily virtual operations, including student attendance, behavior, and engagement tracking.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on scheduling, course planning, and school-wide events.
- Ensure policies and systems promote student success and equitable access to learning.
Qualifications:
- Holds a valid CDE Principal license.
- At least 3 years of experience in an online school environment
- Demonstrated success as an instructional leader
