Job description: Job Category: AO – Administration/OperationsJob Description:The Online Learning Support Intern will play a vital role in assisting users of online Seminary, Institute, and BYU Pathway Religion courses through emails, support tickets, and occasional phone calls. Additionally, they will assist with managing, assembling, and provide quality assurance to online curriculum, as well as completing other projects as assigned by the Course Support CoordinatorThis is a paid internship expected to last for 12 months. This position is a part-time (20 hours per week), hourly, nonexempt position. The intern should be available to occasionally work outside of regular business hours and on Saturdays, as needed. This position is hybrid, with occasional in-office attendance required. Advance notice will be given for any in-person events and work required outside of regular business hours.Responsibilities:Provide technical support and troubleshooting for S&I users regarding online course content and usage.Support the rollout and maintenance of S&I online course curriculum.Consult, develop, and maintain internal and user-facing resources.Assist with provisioning and training of new online teachers and administrators.Send out and manage communications to administrators and teachers worldwide.Complete other projects and tasks as needed, ensuring attention to detail and consideration of important deadlines.Qualifications:Must be enrolled in or recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from an undergraduate or graduate degree program -preferably in instructional design, technical writing, communication, computer science, or other related field.Must live in Utah and be authorized to work in the U.S.A.Experience using Canvas or other Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred but not required.Proficiency in another language is a plus, but not necessary.Able to work independently and be self-motivated.Be dependable, hardworking, and trustworthy.Open to feedback with a willingness to learn and improve.Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.Seeking an educational experience to further your preparations for future employment opportunities.About Us:Church employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord’s work.
