Job description: Compensation Range:$51,893.47 – $82,383.62Position Summary:Hiring Salary Range: $51,893.47 to $57,082.81 depending on qualifications.The Online Learning Retention Coordinator (OLRC) performs a variety of analytical, confidential, administrative, and professional level work to promote success and retention for online students. The OLRC’s primary responsibility is to build an effective, trusting relationship with online students that ultimately promotes student success and persistence. The proactive and action-oriented work of the OLRCs includes regular and ongoing communication with students to identify issues and barriers affecting the successful completion of online courses.Job Duties:
- Identify and eliminate barriers, coach students to persist, and match specific student issues to the appropriate resources (internal and external) to increase student satisfaction, retention and completion.
- Develops, maintains and coordinates records of student communication and interaction, writes queries to produce special reports to inform college departments and policies regarding online learning.
- Analyzes data to assist faculty and staff in identifying trends and research best practices in student retention.
- Monitors and evaluates data to guide interventions and assess effectiveness for student progress.
- Coordinates the process for systematic review and evaluation of student retention efforts, including the development and monitoring of outcomes and plans of action for improvement based on the assessment of those outcomes and plans.
- Coordinates various special projects and conducts analyses, to include procedure interpretation, process flow and re-engineering efforts.
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in a field relating to student affairs/services for a college and 2-3 years prior-related work experience. Excellent communication and customer service skills, strong conflict resolution skills, ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations, empathy, and patience.Preferred Requirements:Master’s degree in a field relating to student affairs/services for a college and 3-5 years prior-related work experience.
