We look for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment, and who share our commitment to helping individuals on their communication journey.Job DescriptionPurpose: The Online Communities Program Specialist is accountable for assisting in the day-to-day operations of The Lingraphica Community programs, which provide daily, virtual support group and conversation group sessions for individuals with communication disorders and their care partners. The primary responsibilities of this position will include building and launching new session events, developing session content, facilitating sessions, engaging with and supporting members as well as facilitators, and supporting future program offerings and expansion. This position is critical for the growth of our online community programs.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreate and launch virtual session events for multiple online communitiesMonitor and respond to member and facilitator email inquiriesFacilitate regular virtual conversation & support group sessionsCollaborate with the Online Communities Manager to support program initiativesRepresent Lingraphica program offerings with consumers and SLPsAssist with the planning and execution of content for virtual sessions and other member engagement opportunitiesIdentify new relationships and nurture existing relationships with communication disorder organizations, universities, and cliniciansCoordinate special virtual events and session offerings throughout our various online communitiesCreate and launch member and facilitator-specific surveys as well as analyzing data to identify trendsOther Duties & ResponsibilitiesCross-team collaboration for day-to-day functions and project developmentAssist with various marketing initiatives & campaigns as needed to promote online community offeringsCoordinate with our Digital Marketing Team on social media content creation and the management of our communities’ social media accountsOther duties as assignedQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, demonstrate proactivity, and workload flexibilityStrong technological skills, including use of Microsoft Office, Canva, and ZoomWillingness to provide consistent world-class customer serviceStrong communication skills, including speaking publicly to a large groupPossessing a creative mindset and being comfortable thinking outside the box and challenging the status quoEducation & ExperienceAssociate’s degree in communication sciences & disorders or a related field, or a combination of education and experience, requiredSLPA certification or some clinical experience with adult populations, preferredPrevious engagement or work experience with an aging population and/or the disabled individuals, requiredLeading or participating in previous support groups (in-person or virtual), requiredProficiency with HubSpot, Slack, and forums/community platforms, preferredSocial media experience, preferredPublic speaking experience, preferredExperience using project management tools, preferredAdditional InformationWork Environment & Physical DemandsIncumbent works from home and is expected to maintain a safe, productive work environment with secure internet access.
