All we need is you.Make an impact — from near or farWe currently have remote adjunct opportunities available in all US States, with the exception of California.The opportunitySouthern New Hampshire University is looking for faculty to teach in our General Education courses specifically in the area of Interdisciplinary Studies. Our online faculty provide high-quality academic experiences and supports students as they work toward their educational goals. As an online faculty member, you will work collaboratively in a supportive academic environment, partnering with student advising and the academic team to ensure that each student has the support, tools, and resources they need to be successful.Currently seeking instructors for the following courses:What you’ll do:
- Provide a high level of student outreach and connect with students, academic advisors and team leads on a frequent basis to ensure student success
- Engage and offer an increased and innovative presence in the classroom
- Provide substantial student feedback and offer a quick turnaround on grades
What we’re looking for:The minimum qualifications to teach in the General Education program vary by course area and are listed below.IDS 402 Wellness:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Programs or Behavioral Health from an accredited higher education institution
- Minimum one year of experience teaching similar content at high school level or above OR experience facilitating training of related content in a group setting.
- Minimum one year of professional experience in the field (e.g., clinical, counseling, behavioral health/medicine, etc.)
- Experience working with diverse student groups coming from different backgrounds and educational experiences
IDS 403 Technology and Society:
- Master’s degree in Communication, Sociology, Psychology, Humanities or Interdisciplinary Studies
- Minimum one year of teaching experience across a variety of social sciences and/or humanities courses
- Minimum one year of research experience in the fields of sociology, psychology, or communication
- Experience working with diverse student groups coming from different backgrounds and educational experiences
