Job description: WVU Online is currently accepting applications for an Enrollment Project Manager.About the OpportunityThe Enrollment Project Coordinator for WVU Online plays a key collaborative role in supporting the growth of online academic programs at West Virginia University. This position operates at the intersection of academic planning and enrollment management, assisting departments in aligning their programs with institutional goals, market demand, and effective recruitment strategies. Serving as a liaison and trusted advisor to academic units, the Enrollment Project Coordinator facilitates new program launches, routine program reviews and updates, and strategic enrollment initiatives. The role ensures that online offerings are effectively positioned for recruitment and enrollment success. This is a highly collaborative and detail-oriented position, ideal for someone with a strong understanding of enrollment strategy, academic operations, and data-informed planning.We strongly believe in work-life balance and keeping time for things we love outside our work. What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate between decentralized academic units and WVU Online on enrollment management initiatives and student support services, as well as marketing campaigns, instructional design and quality assurance projects, and governance processes.
  • Guide academic partners through strategic enrollment planning processes and implementation by providing data-informed recommendations.
  • Maintain structured timelines and shared documentation to track program development milestones and ensure consistent communication between stakeholders.
  • Analyze enrollment trends, student funnel data, and market research to support academic units in setting enrollment targets, evaluating program performance, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and admissions teams to ensure accurate and timely updates to program messaging, promotional materials, application workflows, and communications campaigns.
  • Confirm curricular or operational changes and coordinate updates with marketing messaging and outreach channels during annual review cycle.
  • Develop and maintain project templates, checklists, and reporting tools to support consistent processes and scalable onboarding of new academic partners and offerings.
  • Monitor progress on enrollment-related deliverables, identify risks or delays, and escalate issues as needed to maintain project momentum and institutional readiness.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, working groups, and implementation check-ins to ensure alignment between academic units and WVU Online.
  • Ensure program plans and enrollment activities adhere to university policies, academic calendars, and compliance standards.
  • Support strategic planning efforts by contributing to the development of process documentation, project retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen cross-functional collaboration and enrollment outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, education, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience planning and leading successful projects.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong customer service and client relationship management orientation.
  • Background in project management, enrollment strategy, or student services in a higher education setting.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and independently to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with data analysis, CRM systems, and developing process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis, enrollment reporting, preferably in a university or online education environment.
  • One (1) year of experience in student support services, enrollment management, program administration, or academic services in a higher education setting.
