Responsibilities
Seeking an Advance Practice Provider to join the Mayo Clinic Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Primary role will be focused in IBD specialty (Inflammatory Bowell Disease) and in partnership with the IBD care team. Experience in gastroenterology clinical care and/or with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis patient care is preferred but not required. Motivated and collaborative professionals with direct patient care experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient’s age-specific needs is required. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant demonstrates leadership through involvement on committees and team projects, education, and research and actively seeks to improve the practice through performance improvement initiatives. Active in professional organizations and participates in community activities. The American Nurses Association (ANA) Nursing: Scope and Standards of Advanced Practice Registered Nursing, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, Rules of the Arizona State Board of Nursing are the basis for practice.

Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications:
Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required. ACLS certification is also preferred, but required.

Exempt position with standard business hours M-F. Clinical calendar with flexible start times ranging from 7:00am. Alternative schedules (e.g. 4 x 10) considered if consistent with practice needs.
