Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic’s Department of Neurosurgery, led by Bernard R. Bendok, M.D. and located in Arizona is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Neurosurgeon with fellowship training in the discipline of complex spine.
This individual will join the Department of Neurosurgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, an academic tertiary care program. The ideal candidate has expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery, complex spinal reconstruction, and spinal cord tumors. Candidates must have strong clinical skills and have a demonstrated track record of academic success in research and medical education. They must also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and capacity to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of consultants and support staff. Neurosurgery faculty are actively engaged in education of medical students, residents, and headache medicine fellows. Our environment provides rich opportunities for clinical and translational research that are enhanced by established collaborations across Mayo Clinic sites.
We are looking for an individual that can bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas to our clinical practice and research team. With the nation’s largest neurosurgical clinical volumes, collaborative clinical and research opportunities are available and encouraged across all Mayo sites (Arizona, Minnesota, Florida, and the Mayo Health System).
