Job description: Description of WorkWe’re looking to add an engaging addition to our Talent Acquisition team! The Military/Veteran Outreach Recruiter is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various recruitment initiatives throughout the state and facilitating special recruitment initiatives targeting military personnel and/or hard to recruit positions for Certified and Non-Certified positions across the agency. This position will coordinate and provide assistance with the Regional Recruiters but will remain the primary contact for military recruitment efforts; position may work with Employee Engagement on SkillsBridge and transitioning military opportunities. This position will report directly to the Recruitment Supervisor. This position will be field-based within in North Carolina due to the extensive nature of regional and statewide traveling as a part of essential jobs functions to coordinate for in-person events, universities, colleges, and facilities; to include military and naval bases and installments; with the possible extension toward inclusion for sourcing within bordering and out of state states (VA, TN, GA, SC, etc.). The Talent Acquisition/Recruitment section focuses on attracting, recruiting, and retaining qualified candidates to fill our various positions within the Department of Adult Correction. This positions range from certified position to non-certified administration positions. We work in conjunction with other HR sections within Central HR to include Benefits, Workers’ Compensation, Employee Relations/EEO, Performance/Organizational Development, Salary Administration, Operations, Safety and Risk Management, Classification and Compensation, and Regional Employment Offices as well as work within divisional HR offices across the agency.This is full-time, permanent positions (40 hours per week) with .Note to Current State Employees:The salary grade for these positions is NC15. If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. This position will operate as field-based regional and state-wide position but will be responsible primarily for in-person and virtual recruitment activities dependent upon goals and initiatives per the description. Travel for the position maybe 70-80% on average.
