Job SummaryThe medical laboratory technician is accountable for performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties. Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.Education and/or Experience
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited two year college program or technical school required.
- Six months to one year of related experience or training preferred.
Certification
- Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent required within 12 months of hire.
Work Schedule
- Weekdays: 6:30am-3:00pm, 8:30am-5:00pm; 48 hours every 2 weeks
- Every 5th weekend
- Every 5th holiday
- Weekday/Weekend call schedule
PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $22.00 – $31.75 per hour
Expected salary: $22 – 31.75 per hour
