Job description: Job Category: ResearchJob Description:The Account Manager plays a vital role within Ipsos’ Community practice, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and ensuring the smooth execution of research projects. This involves managing client communication, overseeing project timelines, designing research studies, analyzing data, and crafting reports. The Account Manager collaborates closely with the Account Director (AD) to deliver valuable insights that align with client objectives.What Makes This Role Important:As the bridge between our online communities and our clients, the Account Manager is essential to our success. You will drive engagement, design research, and craft compelling narratives that provide actionable insights, directly impacting our clients’ business decisions. Your passion for online research, integrating new technologies (including Generative AI), and ability to think outside the box will be key to exceeding expectations in this role.What You Can Expect To Be Doing:
- Client Management: Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries, providing updates on research needs, community activities, and project timelines. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and active participation in client calls and meetings.
- Project Management: Collaborate with the AD to develop and manage project timelines, ensuring alignment with team capacity and client deadlines. Oversee project progress, communicate status updates to clients and internal teams, and address potential challenges proactively.
- Research Design & Execution: Translate client objectives into engaging quantitative and qualitative research studies. Design surveys and discussion guides, incorporating innovative methodologies and techniques. Oversee programming, fielding, and data processing, ensuring quality assurance throughout the research process.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze research data to create compelling narratives that support client business objectives. Develop data visualizations and collaborate with the AD to formulate impactful conclusions and recommendations. Take ownership of reporting for less complex or recurring studies.
- Community Management: Collaborate with the AD and Community Manager on new community launches and replenishments. This includes developing recruitment screeners, overseeing programming and fielding, and ensuring high respondent quality.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and guide Community Managers in research design, execution, data visualization, and analysis. Foster their professional development by identifying opportunities for growth and skill enhancement.
This Might Be the Job for You If You Have:
- Experience: 4+ years in market research, marketing, or consumer insights.
- Research Proficiency: Interest in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Experience independently writing custom surveys of medium or higher complexity. Thorough understanding of quantitative and qualitative project lifecycles, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Healthcare Interest: pharma, OTC, Med Tech or adjacent industries/categories.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. An entrepreneurial spirit and strong interest in Generative AI and other emerging technologies.
- Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and extract meaningful insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong proofreading and grammar skills.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Personal Attributes: Independent, self-starter who thrives under pressure and contributes to a positive office culture.
