The role

The Department of Film and Television has ambitious plans to expand digital animation, capitalising on its outstanding research and teaching reputation, on Bristol’s Unesco City of Film status and its famous creative industries such as Aardman, the BBC and Channnel 4. The Department draws upon more than fifty years of experience in teaching film and television studies with creative practice in filmmaking.

You will also contribute to the existing curriculum in Film and Television, teaching animation practice to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

You should apply if

You should apply if: you have a PhD in Film or Digital Animation and you have, or are developing, a strong track record of research in the field of digital animation, or have developed this expertise as a complement to your primary research; you have built, or have the capacity to build, a world-class profile as demonstrated through your publications, research projects and grant capture (or the potential for grant capture at the Lecturer level); you have experience of teaching and curriculum development in the HE sector; and you are open to collaborative teamwork and interdisciplinary research.
