Kylie Jenner has slammed Forbes after they removed her billionaire status.
The 22-year-old television personality was given the title of the youngest self-made billionaire earlier this year, but the title has since been taken away as they claim she “inflated” figures about her business including her Kylie Cosmetics brand.
On hearing the news, she fumed on Twitter: “what am i even waking up to. i thought this was a reputable site.. all i see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. i’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period … ‘even creating tax returns that were likely forged’ that’s your proof?
“so you just THOUGHT they were forged? like actually what am i reading .. but okay … i am blessed beyond my years, i have a beautiful daughter, and a successful business and i’m doing perfectly fine. (sic)”
And when some fans slammed Kylie for complaining whilst so much else is going on, she insisted it was the “last thing” she was worried about at this current moment.
She added: “i can name a list of 100 things more important right now than fixating on how much money i have … this is literally the LAST thing i’m worried about right now (sic)”
Meanwhile, Kylie previously confessed her Kardashian / Jenner siblings and her mother Kris Jenner always joke about her billionaire status.
She said: “It’s only when we’re in a group chat talking about where we should go for a trip, everyone’s like, ‘Kylie? You going to pay for it?’
“But they’re all really proud of me for sure … I can’t say I’ve done it by myself. If they’re just talking finances, technically, yes, I don’t have any inherited money. But I have had a lot of help and a huge platform. I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future. But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back … It’s the power of social media. I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything.”

Kylie Jenner was born on Aug. 10, 1997, in Los Angeles, California, U.S. She is the youngest daughter of television personality Kris Jenner and Olympian Caitlyn Jenner (formerly known as Bruce Jenner).
She is the younger sister of model Kendall Jenner (R). She also has several half-siblings from her parents’ previous marriages — Kourtney (2nd L), Kim (2nd R), Khloé and Rob Kardashian, and Burt, Casey, Brandon and Brody Jenner.
Jenner studied at Sierra Canyon School in the Los Angeles suburb of Chatsworth and was part of the cheerleading squad along with her elder sister. In 2012, she left school to join an at-home education program, graduating from Laurel Springs School three years later.
Jenner was just 10 when she started appearing on the reality TV series “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” (2007-). The show, which airs on E! Network, follows the lives of her family and close friends.
Jenner also made many guest appearances in the other spin-off shows that were created following the success of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” They include “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami” (2009-13), “Khloé & Lamar” (2011-12), “I Am Cait” (2015-16) and “Rob & Chyna” (2016).
Moving beyond reality television, the young star began expanding her individual brand by associating with different companies. Her first endorsement was with the nail polish brand Nicole by OPI, which earned her $100,000. The brand’s two nail lacquers are named after her: Wear Something Spar-kylie and Rainbow in the S-kylie.
Kylie, along with sister Kendall, has launched clothing, jewelry, cosmetic and shoe and handbag lines for brands including PacSun, Steve Madden, Topshop and Pascal Mouawad’s Glamhouse.
A self-confessed makeup lover, Jenner has her own Kylie Cosmetics brand. She launched her first lipstick line as part of her self-titled lip kit in 2015.
In 2015, she also launched her personalized website and mobile app. They feature makeup tutorials, style tips and even shopping suggestions.
Apart from her business ventures, Jenner has co-authored a sci-fi novel “Rebels: City of Indra” with her elder sister and ghostwriter Maya Sloan.
She has an extensive social media fan following, with over 130 million followers on Instagram alone, as of March 2019.
Jenner appeared in her own spin-off series “Life of Kylie” that premiered on E! on Aug. 6, 2017. Speaking about it, the reality TV star said, “These couple years have been such an incredible journey with the support of my fans. This show will allow me to give them a peek inside all of the exciting things I am working on as well as some personal time with friends.”
Jenner and her boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott, welcomed their first child named Stormi, a daughter, on Feb. 1, 2018. In a long post, she stated, “I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world… Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m actually going to miss it… My beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1st and I just couldn’t wait to share this blessing. I’ve never felt love and happiness like this I could burst! Thank you for understanding.”
Jenner appeared on the cover of Forbes’ August 2018 issue — “America’s Women Billionaires.” According to the magazine, Kylie Cosmetics was worth $900 million dollars, boosted by her massive social media following.
In March 2019, the 21-year-old became the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future. But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back,” she told Forbes.
In November 2019, reports suggested that Jenner will sell the majority of her cosmetics brand for $600 million (£463 million). The company will be controlled by American beauty giant Coty. Jenner said that she plans to build the brand into an “international beauty powerhouse.”
