Dates: ASAP – June 24, 2025
Hours: 40 hours/week (32 SPED / 8 At-Risk)
Pay Range: $40-$52 per hour

Job Description:Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sch ool Social Worker to join a Charter K-8 Schoo l in Queens, NY, for the 2024-2025 sch ool year. This is a full-time, onsite contract position with a caseload of approximately 40 students in grades K-8. The role will primarily focus on providing individual and small group counseling, as well as addressing both Special Education (SPED) and At-Risk students’ needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small group counseling for students.
  • Deliver services aligned with IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for students with special education needs.
  • Assist students with social, emotional, and behavioral concerns, utilizing evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external service providers to support student development.
  • Document and maintain student progress and case management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and school policies.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • New York State Social Worker License (LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with K-8th grade students, particularly in Special Education and At-Risk populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators.
  • Must be committed to providing high-quality services to students.

Additional Details:

  • This is an onsite position at the school location.
  • Caseload: 40 students (32 SPED / 8 At-Risk).
  • Position Type: Contract, through Soliant Education for the 2024-2025 sch ool year.
  • Pay Range: $40-$52 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Professional Development: Candidates will be invited to participate in professional development and training days. Participation is optional, but if selected, candidates will forgo their hourly rate and receive a daily stipend based on their discipline.
