Role Overview: Renewals Representative

Position Purpose:
The Renewals Representative at Wasabi plays a crucial role within our Inside Sales Team. Initially office-based during the training period, this position transitions to remote renewals work flexibility. This role involves account development, customer retention, and growth, contributing to the success of both our Channel and Direct Teams. We’re seeking a sales-oriented individual who thrives on creativity and customer engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Conduct Customer Review Calls to evaluate user experiences, assess product utilization, identify IT environment changes, and uncover renewals growth opportunities.
  • Account Management: Create and document renewal quotes, process orders, and maintain comprehensive records in the company’s CRM system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, as well as Distributors and Value-Added Resellers, to support both renewals Channel and Direct efforts.
  • Performance Metrics: Achieve or surpass individual and team sales quotas on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Customer Retention: Proactively identify and address risks to ensure high customer retention rates.
  • Team Participation: Prepare for and actively engage in Business Development team meetings.

Candidate Requirements for renewals

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: 1-2+ years of technology inside sales experience, with cloud storage expertise considered a bonus.
  • Communication Skills: Professional and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Goal-Oriented: Strong planning skills with a disciplined approach to achieving goals.
  • Drive: Self-motivated and committed to personal and professional development.
  • CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot and Salesforce preferred).
  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record of exceeding sales retention and growth targets, coupled with a competitive and passionate sales mindset.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to territory strategies.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative thinker with a passion for delivering streamlined customer experiences.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Channel Experience: Background in working with Distributors and Resellers is a plus.

Wasabi’s Renewal Representative is part of the Inside Sales Team who will initially work in the office while training and then have the option to work remotely. In this role, responsibilities include account development, retention and expansion. You will play a key role in developing customer relationships on both the Channel and Direct Team.
