Job Title: IT Support Technician
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
Fractal is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Technician to provide exceptional technical sup port across our network of schools. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure while enhancing organizational growth and efficiency. As an IT Support Technician, you will diagnose and resolve technical issues, maintain hardware and software systems, and train school staff on IT tools and best practices.
Key Responsibilities IT Support Technician
Remote
- Technical Troubleshooting and Resolution
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently.
- Respond to and fulfill equipment requests, such as computers, printers, and internet access points.
- Preventive Maintenance and Asset Management
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Implementation
- Develop, implement, and enforce hardware SOPs to manage accountability, reduce damages, and promote proper usage.
- Assist in creating and maintaining IT SOPs for consistent operational practices.
- Training and Supp ort for School Staff
- Train school staff on various IT tools, including Google Workspace, ProCare, and internal systems.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology training calendar to enhance staff technical competencies.
- Provide ongoing technical assistance and supp ort to users with varying levels of IT proficiency.
- Record Maintenance and Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, equipment inventory, and troubleshooting activities.
- Report updates and progress to the Information Technology Manager.
Requirements & Skills
- Educational Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Computer IT or certification in ICT Systems Sup port is required.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in IT support or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and other relevant IT tools (preferred).
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and preventive maintenance practices.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively support users with diverse technical expertise.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks independently.
- Flexibility:
- Willingness to travel to various school locations for on-site support and maintenance.

Work Schedule and Environment
- Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts during standard business hours (Monday to Friday).
- Work Environment:
- Primarily remote, with occasional travel required to various school locations for on-site support.
