Role Overview Institutional Equity Salesperson
New York, NY:
As a salesperson at TAG, you’ll play a pivotal role in broadening the firm’s client reach. Your primary focus will be on developing and growing new and Institutional existing accounts, with a particular emphasis on long-only and hedge fund clients. You will actively prospect and source new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with our current clients. By leveraging your expertise, you will identify client needs, provide tailored solutions, and drive long-term value for both our clients and the firm\

Key Responsibilities:
- Expand TAG’s client base by sourcing and cultivating new long-only and hedge fund accounts.
- Build and grow relationships with both emerging and established clients.
- Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling TAG’s services to enhance client satisfaction and revenue generation.
- Provide exceptional service and strategic insights to clients in the equity and fixed-income markets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality research and insights tailored to clients’ needs.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining a strong client focus.
Requirements & Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of success in sales and a deep understanding of the equity markets. Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- Relevant Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in institutional equity sales, with a demonstrated ability to close deals and manage accounts effectively.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience selling equity or fixed-income research, along with an in-depth understanding Institutional of the consumer sector, is essential. Familiarity with sub-sectors such as apparel, cosmetics, e-commerce, food and beverage, and more is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must. The ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively to clients is crucial.
- Client Management: A proven ability to service existing accounts while identifying and pursuing opportunities to up-sell Institutionaland close new business.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to understand client needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Account Portfolio: Candidates are requested to submit an account list along with their resume and cover letter.
