Key Responsibilities of HR Assistant

As a Human Resources Assistant, your primary duties will include:

  1. Recruitment Support:
    • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings across various platforms and managing incoming Assistant applications.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to schedule interviews and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
  2. Employee Orientation:
    • Facilitate employee onboarding sessions to help new hires transition seamlessly into their roles and integrate into the company culture.
    • Provide guidance on company policies, benefits, and procedures during orientation sessions.
  3. Talent Management:
    • Support talent management initiatives by tracking employee performance, identifying development needs, and assisting in creating growth opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate records of employee performance reviews and development plans.
  4. HR Records and Systems Management:
    • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records using HR management systems such as PeopleSoft and Kronos.
    • Ensure proper documentation of contracts and compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  5. Training and Development:
    • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of training initiatives and recommend improvements based on feedback and results.
  6. Employee Communication:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employees, providing clear and effective communication regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
    • Address employee inquiries and escalate complex issues to senior HR staff when necessary.
  7. Employee Engagement:
    • Assist in organizing HR-related events, activities, and initiatives aimed at promoting employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
    • Collect employee feedback to identify opportunities for improving workplace satisfaction.

Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Educational Background: A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous Experience:
    • Experience in human resources or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
    • Familiarity with recruitment tools, such as iCIMS, is a plus.
    • Experience with HR management systems like PeopleSoft or Kronos is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for building relationships with employees and stakeholders.
    • Ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in recordkeeping and compliance.
  • Adaptability: A proactive and flexible approach to handling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Training Experience: Experience in training development, employee orientation, or similar areas is highly desirable.
