Role Overview: Senior data Analyst
As a Senior Analyst at Athena, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex da ta projects that span both advanced data analytics and d ata science initiatives. You will play a key role in transforming large and diverse dat asets into actionable insights, developing predictive models, and creating reports and visualizations that drive strategic business decisions.
In this senior individual contributor role, you will not only lead projects but also help refine and define our dat a processes, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen our dat a-driven culture. Your contributions will be critical in improving the way we leverage da ta to achieve our business objectives and drive measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead End-to-End Dat a Projects: You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of dat a projects, including da ta extraction, cleaning, analysis, modeling, and reporting. Your work will directly inform business strategy and decision-making.
- Advanced Data Analytics & Machine Learning: Use advanced machine learning techniques and statistical models to solve complex business problems. You will be expected to develop and implement models that predict trends and outcomes, offering valuable insights to the organization.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that effectively communicate the results of your analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. These reports will help drive business decisions and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Work closely with internal stakeholders across various departments to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reporting frameworks that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Define Data Methodologies and Best Practices: Help refine and enhance the team’s analytics and da ta science methodologies. You will establish best practices that improve both team efficiency and the quality of output.
- Mentor Junior Team Members: As a senior member of the team, you will guide and mentor junior d ata analysts and scientists. Your role will be pivotal in fostering their technical growth and professional development.
- Effective Communication: Present complex analytical results and insights to senior leadership and other non-technical stakeholders. You will be expected to translate complex dat a concepts into actionable insights that inform key business decisions.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in da ta analytics and data science roles, with a proven track record of successfully leading and completing complex d ata projects.
- Technical Proficiency: You must be proficient in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in da ta manipulation, analysis, and statistical libraries.
- Machine Learning Expertise: Extensive experience in machine learning techniques, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics is a must.
- Data Visualization Skills: Expertise in using data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent is required.
- SQL Skills: Proficiency in SQL to query and manipulate relational databases is essential.
- Business Intelligence: Demonstrated ability to define KPIs and develop comprehensive reporting solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Communication Skills: You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting complex analytical results to senior leadership.
- Collaboration Skills: The ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes is crucial.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $140,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
