Job Summary:
The Business Data Specialist will assist the Finance and Accounting team in data integration and implementing efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in management of financial and statistical data within the accounting and finance functions and develops optimization strategies, including utilizing existing tools to their full capacity and proposing additional tools or systems needed.
- Performs and supports certain month end close tasks, including revenue and cash imports, fixed asset module activity, reconciliations, and allocations.
- Maintains vendor files, ensures all proper forms are received from vendors and reporting requirements are met to taxing authorities.
- Contributes to projects and coordinates with team members to produce better business outcomes.
- Create workflow charts and other diagrams to support existing systems and proposed improvements.
- Develops and supports workbooks utilized for monthly close and periodic reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoots, maintains, and supports internal systems and tools for finance and accounting team.
- Gathers critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produces useful reports.
- Performs user acceptance testing on upgrades to existing systems and implementations of new systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Knowledge in importing and linking data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
- Advance Excel skills, including Power Query required.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Formal Education in management of information systems, business analysis, business administration, finance or related fields. Degree preferred but not required.
- If you are tasked to drive as a part of this role, then it is required that you have a clean driving record and a current Driver’s License that is not suspended or expired.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
