Overview:
ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB’s Atlanta, GA office is looking for a talented Transportation Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Work within a team of professionals in developing transportation design and solutions for a multitude of transportation and highway-related projects
- Highway design
- Drainage design
- Traffic control development
- Preliminary and final design plans
- Contract documents, including specifications
- Engineer’s construction cost estimates
Skills and Attributes for Transportation
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently as well as on a team
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, and committed
- Strong computer skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering
- 0-1 years of professional transportation engineering experience
- MicroStation, AutoCAD / Civil3D, InRoads, HyrdroCAD experience a plus
